Gabriella Papadakis & Madison Hubbell
Double female power on the ice – a world premiere
Two of the best female ice dancers in history team up: Gabriella Papadakis, who has won five world and European championship titles as well as Olympic gold with Guillaume Cizeron, and Madison Hubbell, who has won four world championship and two Olympic medals (bronze in ice dance, gold in team) with Zachary Donohue, have ended their respective partnerships and perform together at Art on Ice 2025!
The same-sex performance of the two Olympic champions challenges the traditions of ice dancing and sets an example for diversity in the sport. This opens up new possibilities for creative choreographies and expressions and enables gender stereotypes to be broken down. “We have both had the privilege of experiencing wonderful and successful careers with our partners. Now it’s time for us to break new ground” says Papadakis. She and Hubbell not only want to offer an unforgettable performance but want to inspire people to reflect: “We want to show that our sport can be more inclusive, modern and courageous.” Hubbell adds: “With this project, we dream of a future in which everyone can find their place on the ice, regardless of vision or identity.”
For the first time ever the two ice dancers and good friends are now creating a joint act for Art on Ice. A highlight that you shouldn’t miss!
