Loena Hendrickx
The versatile woman
Loena Hendrickx made history with her silver medal at the 2022 World Figure Skating Championships in Montpellier, France. She is the first Belgian woman to win an individual medal at the World Figure Skating Championships. And the 25-year-old has even won a complete set of medals at the European Championships – bronze in 2022, silver in 2023 and gold in 2024. She then revealed why she is particularly proud of this golden triumph. “In the summer, I wouldn’t have thought that I would reach my high standard again. I trained so hard, I was so tired so often. To now be standing here as champion makes me super happy!”
The Belgian, who is trained by her brother, impresses with her versatility and her programmes which exceed the boundaries time and again. She has wowed judges and audiences alike with her steps, jumps and spins. Leona Hendrickx joins the Art on Ice line-up for the fourth time.
