Young talents
The next generation of Swiss talent
In November 2023, young figure skaters aged between 13 and 17 gathered at the Swiss Life Arena in Zurich for the “Art on Ice young talents” casting, supported by AXA Schweiz. The four lucky winners will go on tour with Art on Ice in February.
Leandra Tzimpoukakis is in her element when she’s on the ice. The 14-year-old loves jumping and whirling through the air. Commenting on her victory, Leandra says: “My joy is huge. I can hardly put it into words.”
Olivia Bacsa was already on the ice as a 3-year-old. Music, dance and the ice rink are the greatest things for the 14-year-old and an important part of her life. Olivia is sure that the extraordinary experience of being part of Art on Ice will help her on her path in life.
For Ean Weiler, figure skating is a way of life. The conscientious and hard-working figure skater did not expect to leave the ice as the winner. “There were a lot of strong skaters here. I’m super grateful and happy to be there,” said the 16-year-old.
Naoki Rossi scored points with the jury with his perfection and elegance. The 16-year-old is overwhelmed that he will be part of Art on Ice 2024. He has already won silver at the Junior World Championships and is one of the great hopes in Swiss figure skating.
